Korean interior

In partnership with the National asian art museum – Guimet and the Yewon Silgrim Art and Culture Foundation in Seoul.

30 may 2016 - 22 february 2017

Korean interior offers both aesthetic and social reading of a feminine art in Korean society and presents the textile works of contemporary artist In-Sook Son. She sees her craft from a new and modern perspective and finds fun in revisiting the embroidery traditionnal techniques with her unique touch, creating pieces such as silgrim, silk paintings, or hanbok (traditional costumes), court costumes, and also pojagi, folding screens and furniture where embroideries replace marquetry.
